Russian IT-security company InfoWatch on Friday unveiled an anti-surveillance smartphone dubbed 'TaigaPhone, at the 2017 Business Information Security Summit (BIS), in Moscow.

InfoWatch CEO Alexei Nagorniy said that TaigaPhone - named after a Russian northern forest - will ensure that "neither any corporate documents nor corporate information can leak from an organization."

The phone will allow to "fully control all the information which goes through this mobile device." InfoWatch's firmware, embedded in TaigaPhone, defends from "an unauthorized remote connection to the phone's data as well as the information capture."

Equipped with a quad-core processor and a 5-incg touch screen, TaigaPhone varies in price "between 12,000 and 15,000 rubles ($208 -$260)," according to the InfoWacth head.

InfoWatch Group, is a software development company owned by leading IT entrepreneur Natalya Kaspersky and cofounder of Kaspersky Lab.

In July, the US government removed Kaspersky Lab from its list of approved vendors, weeks after top US intelligence agency and law enforcement officials expressed concerns about the safety of its software.

The company has repeatedly denied working with any Russian government agency.
