SAPPHIRE Announces New AMD Ryzen Embedded Processor Based Motherboards

SAPPHIRE Announces New AMD Ryzen Embedded Processor Based Motherboards

Enterprise & IT Feb 25,2020 0

SAPPHIRE announced a new series of embedded motherboards with a compact footprint that deliver improved levels of performance, features and stability.

Powered by the latest AMD Ryzen Embedded Processor which feature the AMD Radeon “Vega” graphics combined with the high-performance “Zen” CPU, the BP-FP5 and NP-FP5 embedded platforms provide a balance of low power consumption and optimized performance for the embedded markets.

SAPPHIRE’s BP-FP5 and NP-FP5 embedded boards have a compact footprint of 4 inches x 4 inches and feature up to 32 GB dual-channel DDR4 (2400 MHz) SODIMM memory as well as expansion interfaces including M.2 sockets for WiFi and SSD modules. The BP-FP5 supports up to three independent 4K displays with on board 2 x DisplayPort (DP) and 1 x HDMI 2.0 and I/O connectivity of 5 x USB ports. The NP-FP5 supports up to two independent 4K displays with on board 2x mini-DisplayPort (DP) and I/O connectivity of 5 x USB ports. Moreover, the BP-FP5 and NP-FP5 boards operate with maximum APU thermal design power (TDP) of 25W .

The BP-FP5 and NP-FP5 support the latest AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 and R1000 Processors that combine the performance of the "Zen" CPU and “Vega” GPU architectures in a SoC solution.

Simply NUC has extended its line of long-life mini-computer product line based on SAPPHIRE embedded motherboards at Embedded World 2020. Simply NUC will launch three new families. These include Post Oak based on the BP-FP5 motherboards powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B and R1606G Processor APUs, Red Oak based on the NP-FP5 motherboards with AMD Ryzen Embedded R1505G and R1305G Processor APU versions and Evergreen a more cost-effective solution based on the BP GX424CC-LC2 motherboard.
