Silicon Power Storm 64GB DDR6400
3. Conclusion
The Silicon Power Xpower Storm DDR5 comes to compete in one already fulfilled market with so many different offerings and products. Silicon Power offers a full lineup of DDR5 memory starting from 6000MHz up to 8000MHz with low timings either for Intel/AMD processors. Today we examined two 32GB DDR5-6400 modules with an AMD AM5 platform and X670E motherboard from Asus. The design of the product is very nice, the build quality is top and Silicon Power offers a lifetime warranty for their products. Users can choose between white and gray colors for the Storm lineup and the shark design ARGB stip at the top offers and adds points to the overall design of the product.
The Storm DDR5-6400 kit we tested is rated at CL32-39-39-102 @ 1.40V, something that the competition already offers and we have seen before. The memory according to our tests is fast and stable, we did notice somewhat increased latency compared with a G.Skill DDR5-6000 kit which was dramatically improved when we used the Asus Expo Tweaked settings. Silicon Power could further lower timings to get somewhat better performance, even stability may affected for users without enough air flow and proper case cooling, so we understand that choice. The modules offer both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles, so installation should be easy and without any problems for both platforms.
Overall the Silicon Power Storm 2x32GB (64GB) kit is a good product with a retail price close to what the competition offers and slightly lower, supports both Intel/AMD platforms, offers ARGB, top build quality, and a shark-like design of the heat spreader. We can easily suggest this product to all users who wish to get stable DDR5 memory for their system and if your motherboard supports further tweaking play a little or simply follow our settings to get a free performance boost.
