Sonic Solutions has announced four additions to its line of professional DVD creation systems including DVD Producer 4.5, Sonic eDVD3, SD-series Encoder3.0 and DVD Producer - WMV HD Edition. eDVD 3 adds web and DVD-ROM links to DVD titles created by most authoring packages and also creates cross-platform web-DVD links to online content that is playable on both the Windows and Mac OSX platforms. eDVD is expected to ship in May 2004 at a suggested list price of $899, (£500).

The company has also launched DVD Producer – WMV HD Edition for building interactive titles with HD video content, playable on the Windows Media 9 Series player. The new system is expected to ship in September 2004, and will have a target retail price of $12,999 (£7,200).
