ULi's new chipset claimed to be "Dual-Core Ready"
ULi Electronics Inc. (ULi) proclaims that two latest graphics chipset solutions for all Athlon 64 processors including the Opteron processor are Athlon 64 X2 "Dual-Core Ready".
The design of the new M1689 and M1695 offer ODM/OEM manufacturers and power-users reliability and performances; as well as the option to flexibly upgrade over existing single-core infrastructure, all at minimal re-qualification cost.
World 1st Athlon 64 X2 Dual-core Ready Chipset with Triple Graphics Support M1695 paired with ULi's latest M1567 south bridge is an intense performance HyperTransport PCI Express tunnel IC solution which supports TGi (simultaneous management of PCI Express x16, AGP 8X, PCI graphics interfaces on the same mainboard). A prominent highlight of M1695 and M1567 combined is its ability to create a virtual 3-D environment via multiple display monitors driven by the aforementioned three graphics technologies residing within the same system.
The AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor
The AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor is AMD's first client dual-core processor focused to overcome today's computing increase need for processors to simultaneously deal with multiple threads of information. Not only does the AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor outperforms similar single-core processors on multi-tasking and digital media benchmarks by approximately up to 38%, it is design intended to fit in the same 939-pin infrastructure.
