Wacom announces Cintiq Companion 2 Tablet Flagship Cintiq 27QHD and Cintiq 27QHD Touch
Wacom announced at CES the Cintiq Companion 2 – a Windows tablet for professional creators of digital content. The Cintiq Companion 2 has a 13.3-inch high-resolution 2560×1440 resolution display. With its Pro Pen, you get 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and tilt recognition. Its display combined with the Pro Pen give artists and designers realistic pen-on-paper feel with limited glare so they can do their best work. It also has an adjustable stand and can also connect to your PC via Cintiq Connect and function as a primary or secondary Cintiq display with the Pro Pen.
The Cintiq Companion 2 will be available at the Wacom eStore in several configurations this February. The Entry version with 64GB SSD will be $1,299.99. The Value version with 128GB SSD will be $1,599.99. And the Standard version with 256GB SSD will be $1,999.99. The Premium version with 512GB SSD is expected to be available in the spring at $2,499.99.
Wacom also launched the Cintiq 27QHD and Cintiq 27QHD touch to meet the demands of creative professionals.
Wacom's new flagship Cintiq has a 27" edge-to-edge glass work surface and with the Cintiq 27's new ExpressKey Remote, which can be placed anywhere on the screen or desk, users have more flexibility and power as to how, when and where customizable keyboard shortcuts and modifiers are implemented. Additionally, the Cintiq 27 offers a variety of stand options.
The Cintiq 27QHD's color quality displays 1.07 billion colors and 97 percent of Adobe's color gamut. Precision color matching with the Wacom Color Manager, Powered by X-Rite (purchased as an accessory at the Wacom eStore), sets and fine-tunes the colors for a near exact match.
Both versions of the new flagship product feature a 27" 2560 x 1440 seamless edge-to-edge glass screen.
Designers can use pen, multi-touch (Cintiq 27QHD touch), on-screen controls and a Radial Menu. Pen performance remains the key ingredient to the whole creative pen display experience and the Cintiq's Pro Pen emulates the feel of a traditional brush or marker. Users can draw, paint, design and edit directly on screen with the Wacom pen and its 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The Cintiq 27QHD touch allows using pen and touch simultaneously with the latest touch enabled OS and software.
The Cintiq 27QHD ($2299.99 USD) and Cintiq 27QHD touch ($2799.99) replace the Cintiq 24HD models and will be available in late January.
