Asus Introduces CrossFire Motherboard
Asus is about to release the A8R-MVP, its first motherboard based on the ATI Crossfire chipset.
The board is expected to retail later this month. The M8R-MVP uses ATI's RD 480 north bridge and ULI's M1575 south bridge.
The motherboard will support all socket 939 CPUs and will be equipped with four memory slots supporting 4GB of memory.
The ASUS A8R-MVP could appeal the lower end of Crossfire users, due to its modest price tag, compared to other CrossFire motherboards such as the AT8 by Abit.
