Quantum Optical Lab Purchases DaTARIUS HD DVD testing Solution
DaTARIUS announced the sale of two DaTABANKs equipped with HD DVD driveCubes.
One system is equipped with an HD DVD Analyzer Stamper 1X for HD DVD stamper and pre-recorded media testing; the other a dedicated disc only tester.
The DaTABANK HD DVD Analyzer 1X measures pre-recorded and recorded recordable discs according the DVD Forum specifications. It is completely integrated within the DaTABANK and benefits from the advantages of the DaTAVIEW user interface, including Windows-like environment, 2D/3D views and remote control statistical tools.
"We introduced the first product to the market during the Media-Tech Showcase last year in Frankfurt," says Andrew Dumbill, CTO of the DaTARIUS Group. "That version was able to perform basic measurements on HD DVD pre-recorded discs; this year in Frankfurt we presented a complete integrated package for both stamper and disc testing. This leading functionality is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the DaTARIUS R&D and production teams, and this sale is the best reward we could ask for."
"QOL, partner of Video Publishing in France, chose the high definition DVD as tomorrow?s challenge," says Laurent Villaume, CEO of Quantum Optical Lab. "It is in that spirit that QOL, with the support of DaTARIUS, plans to be one of the European leaders in the field of high definition."
"We have already installed several BD and HD DVD test systems, so it is encouraging to see the first HD DVD system now shipped to a customer. This reflects the market?s acceptance of both formats," adds Thomas Hackl, CCO DaTARIUS Group.
