Samsung Launches Q1 Ultra UMPC
Q1 Ultra, is now available

An Overview of the Q1 Ultra
Like virtually all UMPCs, the Q1 Ultra uses a tablet shape. In a slightly unusual move, though, it includes a split-QWERTY keypad located to the left and right of its 7-inch 1024-by-600-pixel (WSVGA) touchscreen.
It comes with either Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows XP Tablet Edition, and the user has the option of either a 600 MHz or 800 MHz processor. This UMPC also includes 1 GB of DDR2 RAM.
The Q1 Ultra offers 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and a factory optional 3G HSDPA cellular-wireless modem.
This PC boasts two built-in cameras. One of these is a 300 pixel webcam, which , along with a high-performance dual-array microphone, enables video chatting/conferencing. The other is a 1.3 megapixel camera for video recording and still pictures.
It is also available with an integrated fingerprint reader enabling biometric security and fast application/website log-in.
Samsung promises that this model offers s a minimum of 4.5 hours of continuous run time on its integrated Lithium Ion prismatic batteries.
All of this fits in a device that weighs just 1.5 pounds.
