LG.Philips LCD to Showcase Next-Generation Technologies at FPD 2007
LG.Philips LCD announced today that it will showcase its display technologies, including its advanced motion blur reduction technologies, an ultra-slim 42-inch LCD TV panel at FPD International 2007.
The show will be held in October 24 through 26, 2007, at Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center in Japan.
LG.Philips LCD will showcase its 47-inch wide panel for Full HDTVs, which lowers motion picture response time to 8ms through 120Hz refresh rate technology and copper bus implementation. An advanced performance 47-inch wide panel for Full HDTV boasts an even lower motion picture response time of 6ms by using scanning backlight technology.
LG.Philips LCD will also present its 42-inch ultra-slim LCD TV panel merely 19.8mm thick.
To meet the growing need for high-quality LCD panels in the desktop monitor market for graphic design and video production uses, LG.Philips LCD has developed wider color gamut products, including the worlds largest monitor panel, measuring 30 inches diagonally, as well as a 26-inch model. Both panels boast a color gamut of 117 percent.
LG.Philips LCD will also be demonstrating 17-inch wide LCD panel for notebooks that boast color gamut of 100 percent using RGB light emitting diode (LED) backlights, as well as a 13.3-inch wide LCD panel that uses up to 20 percent less power than previous models. This panel is also 40 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter, thanks to the usage of white LED backlights instead of conventional cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL).
At its booth, LG.Philips LCD will also have a special section demonstrating the companys 120Hz refresh rate technology, and promoting the advantages LG.Philips LCDs IPS-mode panels have in reducing motion blur compared to VA-mode panels.
