Two New iPads Coming in January
Apple will reportedly release two more iPads - one for the high-end segment and one for the mid-range segment - at the iWorld in January 26, 2012, according to the latest rumors.
This time the sources are Apple's supply partners, and the report published by Digitimes.com indicates that the upcoming iPad models will feature 9.7-inch screens, a QXGA resolution (1,536x2,048 pixels) as well as dual-LED light bars that will strengthen the brightness of the panels. They will also be powered by quad-core A6 processors, the sources noted. The models will also feature 5-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras and will be equipped with high-capacity 14,000 mAh batteries - doubling the power of the 6,500mAH batteries currently used in iPad 2.
Sharp, Samsung Electronics and LG Display are lisited as Apple's main suppliers for the new devices.
