China Launches Quantum Computer Control System
China's first quantum computer control system based on independent intellectual property has been launched in Hefei, capital of eastern province of Anhui, according to sources with the city's high-tech zone on Tuesday.
The control system (QCCS) was developed by Origin Quantum Computing Technology Co. Ltd., a startup which develops and commercializes quantum computers, Xinhua News Agency reports.
The "QIP" research hardware system is a hardware and software system specially designed for the measurement and control of quantum chips. Its integration of quantum measurement and control technology provides hardware support for quantum chip. The QIP research hardware system can provide the precise signal needed for the operation of the quantum chip based on the requirement of the application scene of the quantum chip, and realize the complete signal processing flow of the quantum measurement and control. At the same time, the system can provide the real-time feedback response at the level of 100 ns.
The system can be applied to various fields such as testing of quantum chips and the theory building of quantum computers, and provide solutions for a wide range of scientific experimental researches including precision measurement, near distance microwave communication, long distance radio communication, and scientific experimental researches.
The world is currently taking the first steps into the second quantum revolution where quantum technologies will play a decisive part in advanced technology. In the last few years, quantum computing has been elevated from a basic research concept towards a viable cloud offering.
