Tesla is bringing back its Customer Referral Program with a few changes.

Customer referrals have been a key part of Tesla's growth ever since we began selling Roadster in 2008. But while the previous Referral Program was successful, it came with costs, and Tesla ended the program last year.

According to the revised program, each time a friend purchases a new Tesla using your referral code, you’ll both get 1,000 miles of free Supercharging. Each referral also gives you a chance to win a Founder’s Series Model Y monthly and a Founder’s series Roadster supercar quarterly, both signed by Elon Musk and Franz von Holzhausen. Tesla owners who already have unlimited Supercharging get two chances to win with each referral.

The previous referral program not only offered six months of free Supercharging per referral and a wide variety of other rewards (including free Tesla Powerwall batteries, free high-end wheels, and more ), but also a 2 percent discount on a Tesla Roadster that could add up to a guaranteed free car.
