AACS 0.9 copy protection for High Density video released
The Advanced Access Content System License Administrator, LLC ("AACS LA") released for public review the 0.9 versions of the AACS LA technical specification books for optical media.
Advanced Access Content System Licensing Administrator (AACS LA) is developing the Advanced Access Content System, a specification for managing content stored on the next generation of prerecorded and recorded optical media (both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray). AACS LA is making these completed specifications publicly available to enable third parties to review and evaluate the technology.
The three books are currently available for review: Introduction and Common Cryptographic Elements; Prerecorded Video Book (format-independent); Recordable Video Book (format-independent).
