AMD Rumored To Work With Toshiba On Radeon SSDs
AMD is once again rumored to be working with Toshiba on mid-range SSDs that will come under the Radeon brand.
Although neither AMD nor Toshiba confirmed it, We learn that the Japanese company will provide its 19nm NAND flash memory along with its SSD controllers -- designed by OCZ -- to AMD for the new Radeon SSDs.
The Radeon SSDs will most probably target the mid-range market.
AMD was again rumored to extended the Radeon brand into SSDs last year.
The company has already expended to the desktop and laptop RAM market so SSDs would join the Radeon ecosystem products to make it easier for consumers to assemble components that would play nicely together.
