AMD's Partners Bring The Fury To The Market

AMD's Partners Bring The Fury To The Market

GPUs Jul 11,2015 0

AMD recently released the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X GPU, the company's most advanced GPU for the enthusiast market. Now comes the Fury -- the AMD Radeon R9 Fury GPU. The air-cooled Radeon R9 Fury GPU will be available starting Tuesday, July 14th from add-in card suppliers. New Fury models include the ASUS Strix Radeon R9 Fury and the Sapphire Tri-X Radeon R9 Fury graphics cards.

These share many similar features and capabilities, starting with the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Co-developed by AMD with industry partners, this is delivering more than 3x the bandwidth per watt than GDDR5 along with a 4096-bit memory interface for new advances in power and efficiency. The Radeon R9 Fury GPU delivers 60% more memory bandwidth over GDDR5 powering extreme performance.

The AMD Radeon R9 Fury GPU joins AMD's new generation of Radeon R9 Series graphics cards ready for high resolution gaming today as well as the DirectX 12 games of tomorrow:

The AMD Radeon R9 Fury GPU, like others within the AMD Radeon R9 300 family, is built on AMD?s GCN Architecture for unified graphics processing and computing. This results in higher frame rates in the latest games at high resolutions and at the highest settings. In fact, the AMD Radeon R9 Fury GPU supports Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) that automatically re-renders games at higher resolutions (up to 4K) and then dynamically rescales them for HD displays at higher quality and details.

What?s more, the AMD Radeon R9 Fury GPU is architected for virtual reality gaming, enabling smooth images with high frame rates and low latencies thanks to AMD LiquidVR technology.
