Apple To Make Watch-like Devices: reports
Apple is experimenting with the design of a device similar to a wristwatch that would run on iOS and would be made with curved glass, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal papers reported on Sunday.
The NYT article cited unnamed sources "familiar with the company's explorations". The paper said that the product could be used to make mobile payments using Apple's Passbook software. The paper also reported that Apple is experimenting with a curved-glass device, which could incorporate a bendable display glass developed by Corning.
The Wall Street Journal separately reported that Apple discussed such a device with its manufacturing partner Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, also known as Foxconn.
Apple did not provide any comment.
