Asus Introduces Ultra-thin Notebook with Standard Voltage Processor
Asus today announced the release of the U36 model notebook, a
thin notebook with a standard-voltage Intel processor.
ASUS has developed a unique thermal design reducing notebook
thickness to a mere 19mm while still packing an Intel Core i3 or
Core i5 processor. Together with ASUS Super Hybrid Engine
technology and an NVIDIA graphics card with Optimus technology,
the U36 has a long battery life, lasting up to 10 hours.
While most ultra thin notebooks on the market use a low voltage CPU because of cooling and power consumption benefits, the ASUS U36 breaks the mold and offers a standard voltage Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processor for powerful performance. This is possible thanks to ASUSs dual heat pipe design which dissipates heat from the CPU without adding any extra bulk.
With its ultra-light aluminum magnesium alloy shell and 4-cell battery, the U36 weighs a mere 1.44kg. Its soft-touch nanometer coating repels dirt and water too, which means the U36 will always retain its sleek good looks and all day computing wont wear users down.
