Asus Set To Announce New Zen Series And Gaming Devices at IFA

Smartphones Aug 19,2015 0

Asustek Computer Inc. has sent out invitations to the media for an event prior to the Sept. 4-9 IFA consumer electronics trade show in Germany, sparking speculation about the introduction of a new ZenFone. The press conference will be hosted by Asustek Chairman Jonney Shih on Sept. 2 in Berlin, where the company will unveil "an all-new lineup of Zen and ROG innovations designed to provide seamless connection and ground-breaking gaming excitement," according to the invitation issued Tuesday.

ROG, also known as the Republic of Gamers, is an Asustek sub-brand for gaming hardware.

In a pre-show video clip published on Asustek's website, the company shows images that look like a monitor, a power button of a phone and a watch, but does not give any details.

The PC maker is also scheduled to hold a press event in Brazil on Thursday as part of a global roll-out of its feature-rich and price-competitive ZenFone 2 range.

New MG278Q 27-Inch 144Hz FreeSync Gaming Monitor

27-inch monitors are getting more and more popular that it?s practically mainstream to go with any new gaming system. The new ASUS MG278Q comes prepared to support resolutions up to 2560 x 1440 and up to 144Hz refresh rate using DisplayPort 1.2, and down to 1ms response time so first-person shooters won?t be caught dying without a clue.

AMD FreeSync support on the monitor allows for eamless gameplay free from ghosting, screen tearing or stuttering. Now you won?t have to worry about gaming for extended periods of time, and you can play longer than ever with ASUS Eye Care Technology that focuses on reducing harmful blue light and removing any possible flickering in-game to reduce eye-strain. Also gain a significant edge over your enemies through the GamePlus and GameVisual enhancements which now come standard on all new ASUS monitors.

The new monitor will be available in Asia, Europe in August, and North America early September.
