Barnes & Noble Announces Cuts Prices Of NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color
Barnes & Noble is shaving $10 off the price of the Nook Color and and $20 off the Nook tablet, so that beginning tomorrow, November 4, 2012, you'll be able to purchase the devices for $139 and $159 (8GB) or $179 (16GB), respectively.
The Nook tablet features a 7-inch VividView display and offers access to the company's digital library of more than 3 million books, magazines, newspapers, children''s books, movies, TV shows, music and more, plus NOOK Apps. The tablet also offer
web browsing, e-mail and has expandable memory.
NOOK Color is 7-inch device designed for reading and exploring a variety of content, accessing video and music services, e-mail and Web browsing.
Three months ago Barnes & Noble cut the price on its Nook line again. The new prices come as the company gets ready to release its 7-inch Nook HD ($199) and 9-inch Nook HD+ ($269), both of which will be available to purchase starting November 8.
Amazon's 8GB Kindle Fire sells for $159 with "Special Offers" and $174 without ads. The Kindle Fire HD runs $199 for 16GB and $249 for 32GB, or $214 and $264 without Special Offers, respectively.
