Releasing a new product should always be interesting and be quiet! continues to improve, already established and well-sold products in the market. This time, improves the Pure Base 500 series with the Pure Base 501 series, with new fans and an improved front panel I/O system as shown below:

While we haven't tested in the past the Pure Base 500 series, the new Pure Base 501 series was interesting to see, if our main test PC system will fit inside such a small case without facing problems, either in installation or during testing performance. The installation process is rather easy but managing PSU cables to the motherboard does require some tension to properly move them. Moreover, if you use a big PSU you might want to remove the back HDD 3.5" Cage to give them more space to store. Overall we were happy with the installation process and the printed manual does help with this. How about the thermal performance?

We didn't use the stock fan setup, we added three more fans, since we thought would be fair to test it maxed out with such high high-powered system (AMD 7950X+NVIDIA 4090 GPU), which really produces a lot of heat. To make things simple, the Pure Base 501 series can stand even such demanding systems, with proper airflow and a big CPU cooler. AIO cooling is present, even though we feel that with the fastest possible CPUs, you might want to use air cooling for proper airflow. The look is clean, all black, no ARGB here for no reason. After spending much time with the Pure Base 501 series, we feel that is a very good product, properly priced for entry-level users or simply users who wish for something small and with great build quality. We liked the total black look, even ARGB has its lovers but for those be quiet! already sells the Light Wings 600LX series. Overall great product, if you are in the market for such a middle-small PC Case, the Pure Base 501 series, should be your next choice.
