Canon will introduce the IXY 600F and the IXY 51S compact digital cameras in Japan, featuring the sleek IXY body design. The 600F, the world's slimmest 8x optical zoom camera, includes such features as Intelligent IS (image stabilization), the HS (high sensitivity) system and full HD video, while the 51S offers a 12x optical zoom lens, which is a first in the IXY series.

The cameras will be released on Sept. 23.
