CeBIT: 1.5 GB Memory Card Available from Pretec
Pretec Electronics Corp., has released 2GB RS-MMC, the largest capacity RS-MMC card in the world today at CeBIT 2006 in Hanover.
Pretec also demonstrated lower cost version of 1.5GB SD/MMC/CF cards as compared with more expensive 2GB cards, especially for those customers using bundled software such as digital map, where more than 1GB is needed yet less than 1.5GB data space is required; Pretec 1.5GB cards are ideal choice for such application. Pretec offers a variety of SD/MMC/CF cards capacities ranging from 1.5GB, 1.2GB, 1GB and 0.8GB, and also provides content uploading services for volume customers upon request.
Pretec is first in the world offering 1.5GB CF card in 2002 , although technology has made the capacity advanced to 12GB today, yet low cost content card bundled with particular applications are on the rise which Pretec can provide services for memory card with different capacities and content upload services for customers. A prototype of the automatic content uploading/duplication machine for many form factors (CF, MMC, RS-MMC, MMC micro, SD, miniSD, microSD, C-Flash, CU-Flash, USB, etc.) will also be demonstrated at Pretec booth in CeBIT.
