Crucial DDR5 48GB 6000CL48
3. Conclusion
Crucial had already a wide lineup of DDR5 memory and for a specific version (48GB) kit, offers a DDR5-6000MHz variant, which we tested today, for now, no other combination can be ordered with that "increased" speed. The Crucial DDR5 memory lineup (either the normal or PRO versions) includes both Intel XMP and AMD's EXPO profiles, which make them truly universal products, for both Intel/AMD users. The 48GB kit is rather an un-usual memory kit since most users will either take 32GB or 64GB kits.
The retail package is simple and you have to tear it in order to move both modules. The included black matt heat spreader does look nice, even if it's a fingerprint magnet and of course no RGB is present. The DDR5-6000 is running at a very low 1.10V with relaxed CL48 timings, resulting in decent DDR5 memory speeds and temperatures. With further tweaking it's possible to boost running speed up to 6400MHz with CL44 timings and stock v1.10, which are nice to have. Overall, we find the Crucial Pro DDR5-6000 48GB Memory kit to be a good product, however, its pricing (at least for now) is great since the DDR5-5600 64GB kit is being sold much lower, and in real life you won't see so much difference either in games or applications. As a final note, we liked the fact that Crucial increases the maximum running speeds of their DDR5 lineup, but we would like to have lower CL timings and more aggressive pricing to catch up with the competition. All Crucial DDR5 memory products come with a lifetime warranty and with its excellent support, you won't be disappointed in its buy.
