Crucial's P510 series is middle-performance product, with affordable NVME Gen 5 product, at least compared with other PCIe Gen 5 NVME SSDs, that offer much higher performance and much higher retail price. The product comes with good reading/writing speeds and two capacities 1TB/2TB and with or without heatsink. The color is black, as with all Crucial NVME product. The product again hosts Phison chipset, without any build-in memory, instead, it uses the host memory to buffer up writing and Micro's G9 TCL NAND chipsets.

Passing to the performance, the drive manages to deliver the promised specifications of 10.0GB/sec reading and around 8.0GB writing according to the specifications. During our tests didn't had any performance drops and the product with the heatsink can be installed at a Sony PS5 without any issue, due to heatsink design. The SSD Endurance TBW number is good, with 1200TB and the 5-year warrant from a trusted brand like Crucial is another good point. Right now the retail price in Europe for the 2TB model is around 293 Euro, while the top-of-the-line T710 2TB NVME comes at 290 Euro and the T710 4TB NVME at a whooping 756 Euro. If you are in the market for a Gen5 drive and you can find the T710 2TB at 290 Euro, we can better suggest this model, instead of the P510 series. Again if you find the drive at reduced prices, we could suggest it for middle category users who simply want a properly priced product with good performance and overall warranty.
