DirectX 12 Unveiling Set For This Month
As we had previously assumed, Microsoft will announce the next iteration of its game programming interfaces at the Game Developer Conference on March 20.
Game developers' long wait for the next iteration of Microsoft's DirectX will apparently come to an end this month.
Microsoft has released a teaser page showing the DirectX 12 logo, along with logos of AMD, Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, suggesting they are partners that will support the new suite of APIs.
Previously, Anuj Gosalia, a development manager on Windows Graphics at Microsoft, had mentioned at the GDC program page that Microsoft would bring "better tools" that would "squeeze every last drop of performance out of PCs, tablets, phones and consoles."
