Elgatoy unveiled Prompter XL, a studio-sized teleprompter for content production. With a 15.6″ display over 2.5 times larger than the original, Prompter XL keeps text readable up to 15 ft (4.6 m). An expanded build supports the large cameras and long lenses that pros actually use, while remaining simple to adjust. It comes with Camera Hub, free teleprompting software for everything from managing scripts to smart voice scrolling. Between shoots, Prompter XL doubles as an extra monitor, perfect for presenting and video conferencing with a proper view.

A Display Built for Distance
Prompter XL’s 15.6-inch display—the size of a modern laptop screen—ensures text remains readable even from across the studio. At 600 nits, it’s 50% brighter than the original Prompter, for improved visibility under studio lighting conditions. This means production teams can position talent wherever the shot requires without worrying about script clarity.

Beyond visibility, the display delivers practical, everyday benefits. A single USB 3.2 cable handles everything, eliminating extra cables and outlet hunting on busy sets. The screen attaches magnetically, making it easy to remove for travel and cleaning, or even mounting on desks. Used as a second monitor, Prompter XL displays windows and apps in beautiful Full HD—now with a handy power button for quick on/off control.

Fits Professional Camera Setups
Prompter XL’s larger, reinforced build supports cameras up to 11 lbs (5 kg), including heavy camcorders and many studio cameras. It works with everything from wide-angle to long zoom lenses, thanks to an oversized bracket and lens port. Adjustable mounting ensures every lens sits perfectly centered in the beamsplitter for natural eye contact.

Prompter XL includes multiple backplates to fit virtually any lens type, creating the dark enclosure needed for teleprompting. When standard backplates won’t fit, users can print their own with 3D files found on Elgato Marketplace. Beyond backplates, Prompter XL features three mounting points—one ⅜” and two ¼” threads—compatible with professional tripods and C-stands. A cold shoe rail adds further versatility, allowing operators to mount accessories like shotgun mics or lights in any configuration.

Camera Hub Included
Prompter XL comes with pro teleprompting software, eliminating the need for third-party apps or expensive add-ons. Camera Hub goes beyond essential features like screen mirroring, delivering capabilities other prompting apps lack.

A built-in script manager lets users size, style, and organize text into easy-to-read chapters. With Voice Sync enabled*, Camera Hub automatically adjusts scroll speed to match the speaker’s pace, ensuring natural delivery. Operators can control everything from their computer, or via Stream Deck for one-touch script management.

When set to Display mode, Prompter XL transforms into a second monitor, ideal for both office and remote work. Presenters can view slides and notes while looking right at camera, keeping audiences engaged. The full-sized screen offers ample space for windows and apps—equally valuable for large team meetings and everyday multitasking.
