The EnGenius EWS850-FIT comes at a retail price of $345,00, at least from what we found around the web. If you compare the price with another EnGenius AP-Fit-enabled device, the price is higher due to different construction and overall specifications (IP67).

The product has 2 year of warranty and of course all major certifications like CE, FCC, and IC. Due to its IP67, it comes with -20ºC~60ºC operating temperatures and Humidity (non-condensing) of 90% or less. The retail package is simple, just the basic stuff here, as happens with all EnGenius products.

The main product is secured and at the top, there is a piece of handy information with QR codes for either manual or the FitΧpress app.

In addition, the package includes a wire to ground cable

and a power Adapter, even the official website says those are not get included ...

The EnGenius EWS850-FIT is a medium-sized product with 124x190x52.5mm (L X W X H) dimensions and weights around 700gr. It has been build to cover IP67 (Totally protected against dust and against strong jets of water e.g. for use on ship decks - limited ingress permitted). The build material is hard plastic and metal at the back.

At the top you will find only the EnGenius Fit logo.

At the bottom area you will find two plugs for 2.4/5.0G Antennas, and the main LAN port, that has IP67 protection again weather elements.

At the top there are also two more 2.4G and 5.0G Antennas.

Removing the protective cap, you can see the 2.5G PoE enabled LAN port. At the side are you will find three led and the back you will find the label information and the QR code for register the device with the FitXpress app.

After installing all four antennas, here is how the product will look like, all antennas have the 2.4G or 5G mark, so make sure you install them properly.

The EWS850-Fit AP is based upon a Qualcomm® Quad-Core CPU ARM Cortex A53s @ 1.8GHz, which for sure will help it survive high loads and many different clients, as well as heavy tasks such as QOS that is a must with high clients’ number.

For our tests, we powered the device with the EnGenius ECS1008P Managed PoE Switch, but of course, you can use any other PoE switch if they have at least compliance with the 802.3af protocol.

Alternative you can also use the EnGenius 2.5 Gigabit 802.3at PoE Adapter, in case you don't have a PoE enabled switch.
