Expedia, Tripadvisor File Complaints Against Google in Europe
Online travel agencies TripAdvisor and Expedia have both
filed antitrust complaints to Europe's competition
regulators about Google.
TripAdvisor has asked EU antitrust regulators to halt
alleged "anti-competitive practices" by Google.
TripAdvisor competes with Google's online service Place, which aims to help consumers search for local businesses.
Online travel agency Expedia had also filed a complaint against Google with the EU Commission last week.
The EU watchdog opened a probe into Gogole's search engine in November 2010 after companies including Microsoft accused Google of manipulating search results and promoting its own services while demoting theirs.
Google has denied that it stifles competition.
