Google today officially announced the Nexus 10, a powerful tablet that marries Samsung's hardware and the latest version of Android - 4.2 Jelly Bean. The company also updated the Nexus 7 and announced the Nexus 4 smartphone.

All the new devices run Android 4.2, a new flavor of Jelly Bean, which includes the latest version of Google Now and other new features like Gesture Typing, which lets users glide their fingers over the letters they want to type on the keyboard. Android 4.2 also adds support for wireless display so users can wirelessly watch movies, YouTube videos and play games right on their Miracast-compatible HDTV.

Nexus 10 is an entertainment device designed for watching movies or reading magazines. It packs its components inside a soft-to-the-touch frame – measuring a thin 8.9 mm and weighing 603grams. It comes with a dual-core A15 processor and MIMO WiFi,promising to give web browsing speeds up to 4x faster than normal WiFi. It comes with a battery that will get you up to nine hours of video playback and more than 500 hours of standby time.

The tablet also comes with a 1.9MP front-facing camera, which allows users to video chat with up to nine friends at once with Google Hangouts.

Running on Android 4.2, it allows users to tap their photo to sign in to their own home screen, apps, email, photos and storage. All new multi-user support lets each user have their own separate space, and save their own individual high scores on games, all on the same tablet. With the new Daydream mode on Nexus 10 users can display information on their tablet when it's charging. Users can choose to show off their photo albums, get the latest news from Google Currents, and more.

Google Play: More entertainment, more countries

Google recently added a new entertainment to Google Play, such as movies and TV shows from Twentieth Century Fox. Earlier this year the company expanded its service beyond movie rentals and now users can purchase movies and build a library of their favorites in Google Play. Today Google is bringing movie purchasing to more countries - Canada, the U.K., France, Spain and Australia.

Google is also working with Time, Inc. to bring even more magazines like InStyle, PEOPLE, TIME and others. The company has also partnered with Warner Music Group who will be adding their full music catalog with new songs coming each day.

On November 13, Google is bringing music on Google Play to Europe. Users in the U.K, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will be able to purchase music from the Google Play store and add up to 20,000 songs from their existing collection to the cloud for streaming to their Android devices or web browser. Google is also launching a new matching feature to streamline the process of uploading personal music to Google Play. Google will scan users' music collections and any song it matches against the Google Play catalog will be automatically added to each user's online library without needing to upload it. This will be available in Europe at launch on November 13 and is coming to the U.S. soon after.

Google Now updated

Google is also today adding more cards to Google Now: flight information, restaurant reservations, hotel confirmations and shipping details. The company will also offer cards for nearby attractions, interesting photo spots, movies times at nearby theaters or concertss.
