Google is reportedly planing to bring the power of Android to a Google-branded
videogame console and smart watch, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
The Journal cited unnamed sources as saying that Google would be bringing the Android operating software into a broad range of devices, which would include a videogame console and a wristwatch, without providing specific details.
Nvidia's Android-based SHIELD portable gaming device will be also released next month, followed by other game consoles powered by the popular operating system.
Rumors also spread of plans for a new-generation Apple TV box, as well as a smart watch, from Google's rival Apple.
Google has also announced plans to expand its hardware line-up to include a new version of a Nexus Q digital media device introduced last year but never brought to market.
