Maxell will release towards the end of September, DVD+R Dual Layer media.

The media will have a capacity of 8.5Gigabyte and will support a recording speed of 2.4X.

Maxell has managed large scale production of the media adopting a high precision recording film lamination on top of the substrate, which achieves high quality media with low noise and low error rate.

The media is expected to sell for around 1,400 to 1500 Yen retail.
