Japanese CD-R production output reaches 10 billion for 2003
Japanese economy society reported that the global annual CD-R media output has surpassed the 10 billion. This numeral is by far higher than the corresponding for recording tapes and floppy disks.
The 89% of the worldwide CD-R production comes from Asia, and is estimated to approximately 9.25 billion. Taiwan offers the 52% of the worldwide output; India accounts for 11%; Japan accounts for 8%. Europe's output accounts for 9% (approximately 940 million); US accounts for 2%, (approximately 210 million). The total worldwide output is estimated to 10.4 billion.
