LG Introduces New Android Phones, Tablet PC
LG today announced new "Optimus" smartphones and an Android-based tablet.
LG will release later this year four new smartphones based on Google's Android operating system. The company will release the Android 2.2 'Optimus Z (Model: LG-SU950/KU9500)', the 'Optimus Q (model: LG-LU2300)' and the Optimus Z models.
The flagship Optimus Z will have the TI OMAP3630 processor, which also powers Motorola's Droid X smartphone. The touchsreen phone will also have a 3.8-inch display, it will shoot HD video, have an HDMI output and support DLNA media sharing.
LG also unveiled plans to release an Android-based tablet this fall, without disclosing any additional details. The company just said that its teblet pC will be different than competitive products such as as Apple's iPad, in terms of specifications .
Rival Samsung is also ready to release its own Android tablet.
