We start our DVD writing quality measurements with DVD-R media. A variety of different MIDs were selected and burned at the maximum allowed speed. The drive's first burn wasn't as good as we expected, as the test reported many uncorrectable digital errors. The PISum8 error rate increased after the 40mm radius of the disc surface, while jitter was also high.
