Mamiya intros 22Mp medium format SLR
Mamiya has launched the 22Mp ZD, the first medium format digital SLR camera, with a 36-x-48mm sensor.
The Mamiya ZD will be available early in 2005 at an undisclosed price. The camera is compatible with 645AF lenses, supports Adobe RGB and sRGB colour spaces and offers a sensitivity range of ISO 50 ? 400.
A 1.8-inch LCD on the rear of the camera has a resolution of 130,000 pixels. It takes CompactFlash or SD cards and will shoot at 1.5fps for a maxium of 11 shots.
The camera has a shutter speed range of 30 ? 1/4000s, and offers a full range of metering, exposure and white balance modes, as well as AE-bracketing.
Also available is the ZD digital back, with the same sensor as the ZD. The ZD back will convert either a Mamiya 645 or a RZ67 Pro IID into a digital camera via the Mamiya Serial Communication for External interface.
