Microboards Technology Announces the First Portable, Stand-Alone CD-R System for Live Event Recording and Analog to Digital Conversion

Microboards Technology Announces the First Portable, Stand-Alone CD-R System for Live Event Recording and Analog to Digital Conversion

General Interest Jun 15,2000 0

"...The first portable, stand-alone 8X CD-Recordable system that allows live event direct recording and analog to digital conversion was announced today by Microboards Technology's Pro Audio Division. AudioWrite Pro 8 is priced at $499 and will begin shipping within the month.

AudioWrite Pro 8 enables direct connection to analog audio sources including tape decks, LP players or stereo consoles. Users will now be able to record live events, or dictate in real time (1X) directly to the system on standard 74 or 80-minute media.

"Because the AudioWrite Pro 8 doesn't require software or computer intervention to record audio CDs of live events, custom audio discs can be created on the fly," said Charles Alcon Jr., vice president of sales and new business development for Microboards Technology. "The light-weight unit was designed for DJs and church production technicians who require quick and easy transfer and set up." The unit is 11.5"X7.75"X4.5" (LXWXH) and weighs 10.5 lbs.

AudioWrite Pro 8 Suite for Windows includes: Sonic Foundry's CD Architect and XP, Hot Burn, PlayWrite MP3 software, PCI SCSI card with cable, one RCA cable and two Microboards blank CD-Rs.

AudioWrite Pro 8 Suite for Mac includes: Adaptec Toast Jam, Adaptec Toast, one RCA cable and two Microboards blank CD-Rs..." NULL
