Microsoft and LG To Offer 3D Gaming on Xbox 360
Microsoft and LG will offer in Korea the new INFINIA 47/55" LX9500 LED 3D capable TV alongside an Xbox 360, allowing consumers to enjoy 3D gaming.
According to the deal, LG and Microsoft will promote the 3D gaming concept in the Asia region. LG will release in Korea its new INFINIA 47/55" LX9500 LED 3D capable TV alongside an Xbox 360 and a 3D game title this summer.
It is not clear whether the deal will expand in other territories too.
Microsoft has not advertised its Xbox 360 game console as a 3D gaming machine. However, it seems that having a 3D capable TV could be enough in order to enjoy 3D gaming with your Xbox 360, PS3 or even Wii game console. Of course, a firmware upgrade for these consoles will be needed.
Microsoft is hoping to attract new gamers with the release of its 'Project Natal' motion-sensing games controller for the Xbox 360 in October. Sony looks set to launch its own Playstation Move navigation controller at around the same time.
