Middle East success for DaTARIUS

Middle East success for DaTARIUS

Optical Storage Dec 8,2004 0

DaTARIUS Technologies enjoyed great success at the International Media Technology Seminar... which took place at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai on Wednesday, 1st December.

The event, organized by STEAG HamaTech in conjunction with DaTARIUS and their Middle East representatives, Optical Disc Group, was the second of its kind and was very well attended. "There were a number of visitors both from the Middle East region as well as throughout Asia ," said DaTARIUS CEO James Steynor , who provided welcome remarks at the start of the event. "This excellent attendance highlights the dynamic market in this area, which has great growth potential. We believe that we have a huge advantage in having established an office in this region, some time ago, which provides the support of the entire DaTARIUS Group backed up by local knowledge."

The IMTS followed immediately on from the MERM +DS ? Middle East Recording Media + DVD Summit (formerly MEDS), which took place November 29th & 30th in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai . Experts from DaTARIUS made three presentations during the two events.

Dr Wlodek Mischke , Business Development Manager of the DaTARIUS Group and well-known industry expert on recordable media, gave a technical presentation during the IMTA on the testing of recordable media (single and dual layer), focusing on the need for and challenges of testing these media at high speeds.

Thomas Hackl , CCO DaTARIUS Group, gave a presentation later in the day entitled ?Optimize without compromise, which focused on the recordable media manufacturing process. He highlighted ways in which DaTARIUS can work with customers to improve margins in this increasingly competitive market place.

During the MERM +DS event, Thomas Hackl also gave a presentation on quality control and optimization solutions designed to help manufacturers maximize their success. Highlighted solutions included the flagship DaTABANK, the new Universal Stamper checker, the MF DisCo temperature regulator, and the Sprue Recycler. "Both events were very well organized and we would like to congratulate all those involved," said Thomas Hackl . "Attendance at the DaTARIUS presentations was very good, with a great deal of interest and participation from the delegates."
