Morpheus Returns Upgraded and Safer
After nearly two years in development and in the face of an expected landmark Supreme Court ruling, StreamCast Networks, Inc., the creator of the Morpheus file-sharing software, announced the public availability of the beta version of Morpheus 5.0.
The new fully loaded Morpheus 5.0 is available for free download at www.morpheus.com.
"Morpheus 5 is truly a breakthrough product that elevates the file-sharing experience to an entirely new level. Everything about it is totally new, ranging from the Smart User Interface to the improved NEOnet search technology under the hood," said Michael Weiss, CEO of StreamCast Networks, Inc. "While some in the entertainment industry may view our powerful new technology as an even greater threat, we believe that Morpheus can prove to be one of the shining stars for their digital future if only they would be open-minded to work with us. Together we can find solutions a lot quicker than their attorneys ever will," Weiss added.
With the additional integration of BitTorrent searches, consumers are able to easilly find and download all types of media files including mp3 audio, music, videos, movies, games, software, pictures and documents.
The new Morpheus 5.0 Beta removes all 3rd party bundled software, remains completely free of spyware and will not display pop-up ads. Returning after a nearly three year absence is the Morpheus Forum, which in addition to its Chat Rooms, gives consumers access to a community that provides newcomers with help, assistance and information that they may need.
Morpheus file-sharing software offers users the ability to integrate installed anti-virus software to help prevent malicious files from infecting their computer; and also contains user-enabled parental filters to keep unwanted content away from children. Morpheus includes free Bitzi anti-spoofing look-ups so that consumers find what they want and avoid downloading bogus or spoofed files.
Upcoming features in the new Morpheus 5.0 series will include iPod compatibility, Podcast searches, Mobile Morpheus and a custom Morpheus eWallet that will enable users to easily purchase in excess of one million authorized music, video and game files through Morpheus.
