ESS Technology today announced that JVC has selected ESS's Vibratto(TM) DVD decoder chip to power its newest DVD player, the XV-NP1SL. This latest DVD offering from JVC comes in a sleek, slim chassis and includes slot accesses for the viewing of digital photos using DSC memory cards. The JVC XV-NP1SL DVD player is currently available in the European and North American markets.
The ESS Vibratto product line incorporates the MPEG-2 video decoding technology and digital audio decoding technology to provide the JVC XV-NP1SL DVD player
with progressive scan video output for flicker-free display, Dolby® Digital and DTS decoding for high quality audio output, and S/PDIF output for digital
audio pass-through. In addition, the Vibratto DVD decoder provides a direct interface for SD, MMC, SmartMedia, Compact Flash, and Memory Stick flash memory
