New Mandatory Update For The Xbox 360
Microsoft's team has just released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE.
Starting today when users sign in to Xbox LIVE they'll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. Those signed into LIVE already may be signed out and asked to accept the update.
According to Microsoft, the new update will make a "behind the scenes foundational improvement that will not be visually noticeable, but will help enable an easy update this Fall." It will also add voice search for Australia and New Zealand.
Those who own a Datel controller may experience some issues after the system update. According to Microsoft, certain Datel wireless controllers (including the TurboFire 2, WildFire 2 and EVO controllers, as well as the Super Sports 3X Steering Wheel) are experiencing some incompatibility with the latest dashboard update.
A software update for these controllers has been made available by Datel and can be downloaded from Datel' s website at www.codejunkies.com/update.
