CMC Magnetics, having extended its product line to digital audio/video devices, will present a portable PAV (personal audio/video) recorder and a karaoke Station, a portable personal karaoke player at Computex Taipei. CMC expects to deliver more than 20,000 PAV recorders this year and has receved orders from Japan-based MovieVision and operators of retail channels in China. The company will begin shipments this month

CMC will offer PAV recorders for sale in the Taiwan market at about US$300 (245 euro), close to the retail price level in Japan, Chien said.
