Nintendo's new NX Game Console Will Not Have Android Inside (Updated)
Nintendo may use the Adnroid mobile operating system for its upcoming gaming platform, NX, according to a Japanese business outlet Nikkei report.
Update: In a statement provided to the Wall Street Journal, an unnamed Nintendo spokesperson said "There is no truth to the report saying that we are planning to adopt Android for NX."
Original story: Nintendo may use the Android mobile operating system for its upcoming gaming platform, NX, according to a Japanese business outlet Nikkei report. That would make it far easier for game makers to develop hit titles that can easily transfer between handheld gaming and the NX.
The report added that by attarcting more game developers through an already familiar platform could also help Nintendo easier bring games to Android smartphones and tablets
Nintendo haven't commented on this. The company is not expected to reveal the NX until 2016.
