Available for download, the ForceWare Release 77.76 graphics driver takes Antialiasing Quality to new heights and expands SLI support for mainstream GPUs. NVIDIA introduced a BETA version of NVIDIA ForceWare graphics driver Release 77.76. The new driver and the new entry-level 6600 LE graphics card enable system builders to offer SLI PCs for less than $800. The Release 77.76 graphics driver features:

- NVIDIA SLI technology support for NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE GPUs delivering SLI scalability at mainstream prices. This enables the existing GeForce 6600 and the new 6600 LE to work in SLI configuration via the PCI Express interface without the need for an additional SLI interconnect. According to Nvidia, the LE version will be a bit slower than the regular 6600, but priced significantly lower.

- A new 16x antialiasing SLI rendering mode the industry ' s highest sampling rate delivers superior antialiasing image quality and performance. The 16x antialising is a result of 8x anti-aliasing in each card in dual-mode.

- Broader SLI optimizations and quality-assurance validation for the latest games - including specific SLI profiles for more than 100 of the most popular titles.

- The NVIDIA Unified Driver Architecture (UDA) - with support for more than seven different operating systems and more than 250 NVIDIA products in total.

Now featuring support for GeForce 6600 LE GPUs, NVIDIA's SLI technology which allows to use two PCI-Express graphics cards in tandem, is extended to lower price points.

"NVIDIA SLI technology is changing the landscape of the PC, taking it to new heights of performance and image quality, " said Ujesh Desai, general manager of GeForce GPUs at NVIDIA. "NVIDIA is the only company with a complete multi-GPU ecosystem and with products available today. With complete systems for as low as $799, GPUs for around $70, and NVIDIA nForce 4 SLI-based motherboards for around $100, SLI technology is no longer only for PC enthusiasts - we have delivered on our promise to make NVIDIA SLI technology a reality for consumers in all market segments. "
