Palm OS SlingPlayer is Ready
After a beta program that started early this year, Sling Media has released the first full version of SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS devices.
This gives Slingbox owners the ability to watch and control their home TV from a network-enabled smartphone or handheld. Users can have live TV programs streamed to their mobile device. They can also control a home digital video recorder (DVR), DVD player, video tape player, and more.
The only models officially supported by this new application are the Treo 700p and 755p, but Sling Media encourages those with other Palm OS/Garnet OS models to download the 30-day trial.
There's also a version of SlingPlayer Mobile available for Windows Mobile devices.
Pricing and Availability
SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS is available for download from Sling Media?s U.S. and Canadian web sites, which can both be accessed from slingmedia.com.
Each version of this application sells for $30 ($34 CAD). There are no monthly fees for use, aside from what the user pays their carrier for data access
