The Pioneer DVR-107D supports a maximum reading speed of 40x. The drive reached a final reading speed of 41.93x. The Plextor drive was the fastest and had a final speed of 42.88x
On the seek times test the Pioneer drive needed 295ms for a full seek, a time that is very slow and almost double that of the other two drives.On the random and 1/3 seek times, the Pioneer returned times of 118ms and 145 respectively and was slowest among the three.

With CD-R media, as was the case with the pressed CD previously, the Pioneer drive with a final speed of 42.3x was only slightly slower than the Plextor.
Again the full seek time of the Pioneer drive is double the time of the other two drives. The random and 1/3 seek times were also the slowest among the three drives and a little on the slow side.

For the rewritable reading test we used 24x High Speed rewritable media from Mitsubishi Chemicals.
The Pioneer DVR-107D supports a maximum reading speed of 32x for the cd-rw format. The drive reached a final speed of 33.66x.
