Pokémon GO Plus Going On Sale 16th September
The Pokémon GO Plus wearable device is finally set to go on sale on 16th September. Originally, pre-orders opened when the official pricing was revealed at E3 back in June, with shipping all set for July. It quickly sold out, however.
Costing $34.99, Pokémon GO Plus is notifying players when a Pokémon is nearby. It vibrates and flashes and, with a push of a button on the top of the ball, Pokémon seekers can throw a virtual Pokéball in an attempt to catch them all.
"As you pass by a PokéStop, you’ll even be able to collect new items just by clicking the Pokémon GO Plus," explains game-maker Niantic. "If there’s nearby Pokémon hiding in your area you’ll be alerted with lights and vibrations; catch the Pokémon with a button on Pokémon GO Plus and then continue on your way (later, you can check your Journal to see which Pokémon you’ve just caught)."
Pokémon GO had around 45 million active users, although now that number now sits at around the 30 million mark.
Apple's Tim Cook revealed earlier this week that the Pokémon GO would arrive to Apple Watch Series 2 smartwatch platform.
