Razer to Offer Masks Through Vending Machines in Singapore
Gaming hardware maker Razer will offer its masks in Singapore through a network of vending machines across the city-state.
The company said it will initially deploy 20 machines at Frasers Property’s malls and JustCo co-working centres around the business district by June 1 when Singapore is set to lift lockdown measures.
Razer has have modified its factory lines to meet a surge in demand for medical products during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"As part of our efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and to encourage the public to practice hygiene and safety, Razer Fintech and other sponsors, will make one free #RazerForLife surgical mask available to every adult Singapore resident (aged 16 years and above). We estimate up to 5M masks will be given out through this exercise," Razer said.
The beta test started on May 12, 2020 and will run until June 2, 2020 with a full-scale deployment to follow after the Circuit Breaker measures are eased. Through a simple verification on the Razer Pay app, all eligible participants will be able to collect their surgical mask at #RazerForLife vending machines located around Singapore.
Razer will provide an initial five million masks free for citizens and residents aged 16 and over, after which they will be available for purchase.
