Samsung to Unveil New Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Watch
Samsung has released a teaser video previewing two new products that will be unveiled in a special pre-event ahead of this year’s Unpacked in New York.
The company will digitally unveil its latest Galaxy Tab (Tab S6?) and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 on July 31st and August 5th respectively.
Samsung will also hold its Galaxy Note 10 event on August 7th.
The accompanying video only offers a few glances at both devices. The Galaxy Tab will include an S-Pen and the option of a keyboard, while the new smartwatch will help "keep you fit and on top of your day."
Previous leaks and rumors have the Galaxy Tab S6 serving as the successor to the Tab S4 with a 10.5-inch '2K' AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 855 chip and dual rear cameras that include a 13MP main camera and a 5MP depth sensor. It is also expected to have an under-the-screen fingerprint reader and a minimum 6GB of RAM with 128GB of expandable storage.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is expected to be a slight tweak of the original device with a touch-sensitive bezel.
Here is what Samsung says about the pre-release event:
The new devices cater to the generation that wants the power to create and consume wherever they are. Samsung is allowing for interconnectedness anytime, enabling users to seamlessly merge work and play, and ensuring peace of mind at all times.
In a world that belongs to the creators, Samsung’s new innovations will allow users to share their thoughts and ideas freely, empowering their voices and offering the tools for boundless creation.
Mobile devices continue to change the world we live in, and Samsung is staying abreast of what consumers want while removing the need for them to choose between comfort and convenience.
